What I’ve done wrong, I can’t make right,
Like dirty clothes they’re an awful sight.
So I bring them to Jesus who paid the price,
He who never sinned, who paid with His life.
For what I did wrong Jesus did pay,
When He died on the cross on that terrible day.
No matter how good I am, it’s never enough
To make me right with God to renew that broken trust.
All the bad I’ve done, money can’t fix,
Can’t hide it with a wall of the finest bricks.
But Jesus makes them vanish when to Him we pray,
“Oh Jesus please forgive us,” we have no other way.
The rotten things we do, bring us hurt and shame,
But our troubles disappear when we call His name.
“Jesus, oh sweet Jesus, you’ve paid what we owe,
And as your Love has rescued me, my love for you will grow.”
