The Master touched the blind man and filled his eyes with glory,
Opened the deaf man’s ear and he heard the wondrous story.
But when He touched my soul inside,
A new man was born, the old one died.
And a heart once cold, beat with life,
A rhythm of song unto my Christ.
Sing on feeble lips, and fear no wrath of man,
Sing unto sweet Jesus, and of God’s Salvation plan.
Sing your song like heavenly bird,
Till every man has heard the Word.
For I can do no less than sing,
My song of love for Christ the King.
The Doctor blessed the twisted legs and they did jump and run,
Called demons out of the possessed and their torment it was done.
But when to me, He revealed His Word,
Eternity in my soul occurred.
And a soul once dead, became revived,
My song of Grace had then arrived.
Sing on feeble lips, and fear no wrath of man,
Sing unto sweet Jesus, and of God’s Salvation plan.
Sing your song like heavenly bird,
Till every man has heard the Word.
For I can do no less than sing,
My song of love for Christ the King.
The Saviour moved the silent lips and praise began to flow,
He fed the hungry multitudes that faith would surely grow.
But when He showed me His great Love,
My heart and mind looked to above.
And life of sin changed within,
A song of joy now sung for Him!
Sing on feeble lips, and fear no wrath of man,
Sing unto sweet Jesus, and of God’s Salvation plan.
Sing your song like heavenly bird,
Till every man has heard the Word.
For I can do no less than sing,
My song of love for Christ the King.
Tertius
Sing to the LORD with grateful praise;
make music to our God on the harp.
Psalm 147:7
A note about “Miraculous Melody”: For years I would not sing (with the congregation) at church. A phobia or pride, I’m not sure what it was. When Jesus healed people during His earthly ministry they all felt compelled to express their joy in some way, some more radical than other. On the basis of Luke 7:47 I can do no less than sing His praise. Although I don’t consider myself a singer it’s a pretty fair guess the cripple in Acts 3:8 healed by Peter and John was not a dancer. When He gives me verse pertaining to Him and His Kingdom and even the music too, I could not contain such joy if I tried. Luke 19:40.
