A MINOR SINGER – A MAJOR THANKS

I bring a gift to Thee,
O blessed Christ who died for me.
A gift so small, but full of love,
For One who came down from above.
The Father’s sweet concern to prove.
My offering at Thy feet I lay,
Please bless my gift, O Lord, I pray.

This is my gift to Thee,
O risen Christ of Calvary.
Who came to earth in infant place,
To teach us of the Father’s grace,
That reached to lift a fallen race.
It is a simple gift I bring,
For unto thee a song I sing.

A note about “A Minor Singer, A Major Thanks”: This one was written by the pre-me. My momma! I remember when I was very young, my mother and sister sang “Ivory Palaces” as a duet and the harmony flat out blew me away. Up to that point I’d never heard anything so beautiful. Two voices singing almost different melodies that sounded ten times better than one alone would have. Each complimenting the other. This is a physical representation of what love is. This is why God made us. I don’t think we really get it 100 percent now, but boy oh boy, we are gonna get it later!
