Eternity calls, now how will you plead?
You come fore the judge, down on your knees.
Every day of your life you’re given a choice
To shut out or listen to God’s quiet voice.
One day this will change from whisper to thunder,
And the whole world will hear in fear and in wonder.
Why didn’t they listen in the day of God’s grace?
Now there’s nowhere to hide from the light of His face.
His Son paid the price for our sin and our vice;
It caused Him great suffering, it cost Him His life.
Do we honor this Gift in word and in deed?
Do we seek out His voice, do His message we heed?
Seek now His mercy the time is at hand,
For soon is the day when many will stand
Before the ruler of heaven, the ruler of earth,
Who we should have obeyed, should have put first.
Shall we be found there, naked in shame?
Do we now honor His glorious name?
He loved without limit, He loved without measure,
Now what do we love, what do we treasure?
Time it slips by and we do not know when
Our time is used up and this life will end.
Jesus is calling now why do you wait?
When you come fore the judge it will be much too late.
Nothing compares with eternal affairs,
With the wealth of the world, the devil ensnares.
Let it all go, all earthly desire,
For it all gets burned up by time’s hungry fire.
Now eternity calls for us to plant seed
Of all things eternal for which Christ did bleed.
A penny invested in eternity
Outweighs the world by infinity.
How much more our very souls
Will be blessed in the greatest measure untold.

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?
Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul.
