Yesterday’s memories, oh what a treasure,
I’ve seen my days of woe and also days of pleasure.
The hard times shaped my life like the smithy shapes the steel,
A better soul it made me, cause it caused my heart to kneel.
Thank You for my life, for all You do, my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Today I am a wealthy soul though money I have not,
The only thing I’ll ever need, God’s sweet Love I have got.
He took me off the road to hell, rescued me from wrath,
And now I travel heaven’s highway, I follow Jesus’ path.
Thank You for my life, for all You do, my Savior, Jesus Christ.
People take for granted, they’re never satisfied,
They bite the Hand that feeds them, the One for whom them died.
Do you thank Him daily for meeting all your needs?
If love is life’s flower, then gratitude’s the seed.
Tomorrow is my hope for heaven greater than I imagine,
God’s Love there is revealed, beyond what I can fathom.
And I will thank Him endlessly from the bottom of my heart,
For from His nail-scarred hands and feet, my gratitude does start.
Thank You for my life, for all You do, my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Tertius
For everything comes from God alone.
Everything lives by His power,
and everything is for His glory.
To Him be glory evermore.
Romans 11:36
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
Hebrews 13:8
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.
Psalm 136:1
A note about “Thanks for Yesterday, Today and Forever”: Look behind, ahead and forward at God’s work in your life and your future. If you are a child of God and have an assurance of salvation by the Blood of Jesus and the indwelling of His Spirit, this has got to make you grateful. While in a building material store last night, I saw a doormat that said, “Totally Blessed, incredibly thankful” I could not pass that up. I might turn it around so I can read it when I go out into the world, sometimes that’s when we need this reminder.
