ThanksLiving

Our beautiful Father in Heaven, turn to us and hear,
As we beseech and try to reach our prayer to your ear.
The blessings you bestow on us are more than all the stars,
Untold millions, many billions no one can count that far.
Each fiber in our being, that you have given life,
Each minute we are in it, no way to set a price.
Our body’s glory in what your hand has wonderfully made,
Our souls behold the inner light that will never, ever fade.
The sunrise and the sunset, and everything in between,
A peaceful night of sleep’s delight nestled deep within our dreams.
Work for our hands, and rest for pleasure,
You feed our needs all without measure.
The taste of an apple, the smell of a rose,
A baby’s skin, the wind when it blows.
The sight of an eagle in lofty flight,
A river rolling, a giver of life.
Family and friends both near and away,
They’re dear to our hearts and cheer us each day.
Now all of these blessings to my shame I confess,
For granted I take them which makes them quite less
Than the glory they are, a gift from above,
A present from God, sent with His Love.
My heart is so hard and calloused like leather,
I yearn that it turns to soft as a feather.
My God, you’re so good, nothing compares.
We live cause you give us, even the air.
I thank you, oh Lord, for you are our treasure.
You formed us from dust now we trust you forever.
Your Love and mercy, exceed time and space
From the grave we are saved by your Son’s Holy grace.
He died for our sins and rose for our souls,
Dare not to compare this gift with mere gold.
This gift that He gives, is above all the rest,
Believe it, receive it, be eternally blessed.
For men aren’t sent to hell for their sin
But for rejecting, neglecting Jesus, the Savior of men.

Tertius

Praise the LORD, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.
Psalm 103:1-2

In daily life we must see that it is not happiness that makes us grateful, but gratefulness that makes us happy.
