Jacob Wrestled with a Man

Jacob wrestled with a Man all night,
They struggled with each other until daylight.Jacob
The Man He wrenched old Jacobs’s hip,
But He could not break strong Jacob’s grip.
For Jacob would not dare let go,
For this Man’s name he had to know.
Jake would not settle for anything less
Than for this Man Jake’s soul to bless.
Now Jacob held on for his dear life,
And the Man he wrestled was the Christ.
So everyone, yes all of us,
Must hold on tight and in God trust.
Hold on to God with heart and soul,
And blessings He’ll give that outweigh gold.
He gives us strength to hold on tight,
So hold on fast till you see the Light.
The Light will shine so you may see,
The Love God gives away for free.
He’s paid the cost; He’s paid the price,
It cost Him no less than Jesus’ life.
So hold on tight, with strongest grip,
Stay on your feet, don’t let them slip.
And by God’s power and by His grace,
The morning will come, you’ll see His Face.
And He will give you a brand new name,
What He has promised, you may claim.

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna.
I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it,
known only to the one who receives it.
