KINGDOM LIVING

Love your brothers like you know that you should,
Don’t let your heart become as knotty wood.
Don’t shun strangers who may knock upon your door,
They may be angels, who can tell and say for sure.
Remember those in prison and souls who are oppressed,
You could be in their shoes yourself, our life here is a test.
Kingdom living always giving to our Christ.
Hold to your marriage vows like God has held to you,
With honor and all purity in all you say or do.
Love not money or it’s you that it will own,
Be content with what you have, for greed’s a heavy stone.
(God said) “Never will I leave you, never I’ll forsake you.”
The Lord is my Helper, there is nothing man can do.
Kingdom Living, always giving to our Christ.

Remember your leaders who spoke God’s Word of grace,
The harvest of their fruit and imitate their faith.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.

Don’t be carried off by doctrines of mere men,
Put grace inside your heart, it strengthens us within.
Offer up to God the sacrifice of praise,
With the fruit of our lips His Holy Name we raise.
And don’t forget to do good and with others we must share,
For God is pleased with gifts of these in all He is aware.
Kingdom Living always giving to our Christ.
Obey your leaders and submit to their command,
For God has put them in their place, before Him they will stand.
Obey them so their job will be a joy and not a chore,
For harmony within the group makes the music all the more.
Pray for us, we need it, though our conscience does stand true,
And that all peace, love and joy may be restored to you.
Kingdom Living always giving to our Christ.

May the God of peace through the Blood of Jesus Christ,
Equip you with all that’s good through your entire life.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.

Tertius

Hebrews 13

A note about “Kingdom Living”: Sixteen hours after buying a new guitar I was invited to a church to play a few songs during the worship service. I always try to use songs during jail services that fit the topic and message for the day. I asked the pastor if he had a message in mind for that Sunday and he said Hebrews 13 and the title would be “Kingdom Living.” I had a few songs that came close so I prayed and asked God if He could give me something to fit better. Sixteen hours later I had the first verse and the tune. Fit like a glove. He is amazing!
