God of All Matter (and the smallest detail)

Praise to the Creator of heaven and earth,
Who looks down on this sinner and sees something of worth.
Praise to Him who calls the stars out by name,
And the hairs of my head, He knows just the same.
Praise unto Him who supplies the sun with its fuel,
And with a dewdrop creates a sparkling jewel.
Praise Him whom angels bow down before,
Who washed mere men’s feet with His knees on the floor.
Praise Him who commands the wind and the waves,
Who carries our burdens and makes freemen from slaves.
Praise Him who turns the world’s night into day,
To Him who does listen to each word that I say.
Praise to our God who Loves all who draw breath,
And knows every sparrow when they fall to their death.
Praise Him who spins the whole world in His hand,
But heals the broken heart of a sad lonely man.
Praise Him who rules from a glorious throne,
But will Love and forgive when to sin we are prone.
Praise Him who saved us by the blood of His Son,
When we stray from His path and from Him we do run.
Praise to our God who is worthy indeed!
Who meets all our greatest and slightest of needs.
Praise to the Savior of wicked men’s souls,
The world can’t come close with all its silver and gold.
Praise to sweet Jesus, His Love deep in my heart,
I’ll do it forever, but this ain’t bad for a start.

Tertius

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
Psalm 145:1-3

A note about “God of all Matter”: The Master and Creator of the universe is also the One who provides tender loving care to a tiny sparrow. Plenty of TLC for us too, He deserves great praise on all accounts. I’ve wanted to write something like this for quite a while. My prayer’s been answered, I praise Him for that also.
